A central gathering place is Ringsted Kongrescenter, hosting music, stand-up, and larger events. At the same time, the town’s cultural institutions and associations play an important role, offering activities for both children and adults throughout the year.
History is also a significant part of the cultural life, especially around Sct. Bendts Kirke, where past and present meet through concerts and cultural events in unique settings. Overall, Ringsted is a town where culture is both experienced and lived every day.
With a broad program where there is something for every taste, Ringsted Congress Center welcomes more than 50,000 cultural visitors to more than 100 events every year.
Ringsted Library is a modern public library that offers much more than good reading experiences.
Every summer, the Valdemar stage offers music and entertainment for all tastes. Among other things, there is SommerJazz and SommerRock for the adult audience, while SommerSjov is aimed at children and childlike souls.
In Ringsted Svømmeland there are 3 pools. These are the swimming pool, the play and teaching pool and the paddling pool. There is also access to a brand new sauna area.
St. Bendt's Church was Denmark's first royal church. In the Middle Ages, it served as the monastery church for the Benedictine monks of Ringsted Abbey.
